Animation soared to new heights in the addition to the Spider-Man world, Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse! With six different types of animation styles, this movie, written by Chris Miller, Phil Lord, David Callaham, was able to open up new possibilities for future animated movies, just as they did for the first Spider-Man movie (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse). With taking on an additional five new animation styles in the second movie, we are able to review new worlds as well as new characters. We have our old crew coming back as familiar faces but also some new ones as well voiced by the fabulous, Issa Rae, Oscar Isaac, Daniel Kaluuya and Karan Soni. The creators have opened up what we Marvel heads like to call it, the Multiverse of Madness, which was also used for one of their movies. But was first shown in Advengers; Endgame when we visited different universes. Across the Spiderverse did an amazing job at that without giving too too much away with the different worlds.
Leaving us with many questions to later be answered in the next movie.
As for the soundtrack, created by Metro Boomin' and the score created by Daniel Pemberton, we enter not only a beautiful album filled with different instruments and beats that create the movie but also the vocals and verses that create the scenes. For example, Pemberton was able to create, in a sense, a theme song for each introduction we get to new spiders, giving them all their own personal intro theme song. As for Metro Boomin' each song fit perfectly with the scene it was paired to, as well as when you listen to the album in order it all flows together. I've attempted to listen on shuffle and it just didn't work. Maybe it will for you! Let me know what Your favorite song is below.
